Facebook jail. When did that become a thing? Was it long before the pandemic? If so, who got put in that social media slammer? And most importantly, why?
First Amendment reads, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances".
I never expected that I would ever lose my first amendment rights to speak freely about my own lived, painful and isolating experience after my own severe reaction to the COVID vaccine in April 2021.
By June 2021 I had met other injured people both online and in person. People who were previously strangers, became my life line. They understood from experience the overnight excruciatingly painful burning sensations, debilitating fatigue, dizziness, heart racing, erratic high blood pressure and palpitations. It gave me comfort among the chaos of my body that was under attack.
These new friends were also being hospitalized, like me with some answers, but more questions. Thanks to them, I knew which obscure tests to ask for, like the skin punch biopsy for Small Fiber Neuropathy, which is usually only common in people with long term, untreated diabetes, but came on overnight for many of us.
While fighting for our lives, we also learned quickly that we had to speak in code in order not to be shadow banned online.
Shadow banned. What’s that? Oxford dictionary defines it as, “block (a user) from a social media site or online forum without their knowledge, typically by making their posts and comments no longer visible to other users.”
It’s the school yard equivalent of not just ignoring someone, but making them feel like they are unworthy of being heard. You can imagine how that feels to someone going through a major health crisis.
The isolation that came from having a severe reaction in the first place was intensified by having my own true, doctor approved adverse event deemed not only as misinformation, but landing my husband and me in a Facebook holding cell.
People heal in community. We find solace in knowing that other people understand what we are going through. Our First Amendment right to freedom of speech should be enabling the injured to share their truths for whatever reason they wish.
My reason is that no one should have to suffer alone. I want to find every other injured person and let them know I understand their struggles. I want to share the resources that have helped me find some relief. I want to connect them with Minnesota Team Humanity.
And yet, I have been blocked from building a community built on love and support by my own government. For that reason, I joined the Dressen v. Flaherty lawsuit with 5 other vaccine injured friends, including Ernest Ramirez, who’s 16 year old son died five days after his Pfizer shot from the exact same batch number (ER8731) that caused my reaction.
We aren’t looking for fame. We aren’t looking for money. In fact, we are suing for $1. Split 6 ways that is less than $0.17 per person. We are suing for “the right of the people peaceably to assemble”. We are suing “to petition the Government for a redress of grievances" for every mother, father, uncle, aunt, sister, brother, child, grandma, daughter, grandpa and son.
Because no one deserves to have their suffering censored.
Your true story is no misinformation and I am terribly sorry you have had to suffer like this!
Thank you for this post and thank you for bravely being part of the lawsuit. I am on my 8th X/Twitter account for posting vaccine injuries and related topics. How many people would have asked more questions/ waited or declined the vaccine should they have had full knowledge of the harms. SC Rep Nancy Mace discusses this in congress. She now has a vaccine injury - a heart condition and wished she would have access to hearing others true stories. No matter your politics, this one issue should unite us. Our true stories are not misinformation.
