The Accidental Advocate Meets Suzanna
Suzanna met Kim Witczak in Washington DC in November of 2021 at Senator Ron Johnson’s panel on vaccine safety.
Suzanna spoke about her many vaccine injuries including small fiber peripheral neuropathy, rheumatological issues, an autoimmune disease and tinnitus.
Kim spoke at this same panel. She shared her story about the devastating loss of her husband due to an undisclosed side effect of a prescription drug. She also highlighted her decades of pharmaceutical advocacy work. “Kim stood up to Big Pharma and the FDA; and she continues to demand honesty, transparency, reform and accountability”.
Prior to receiving her vaccine Suzanna was a triathlete, active mom, and a vice president at a top bank. 7 months later at this conference Suzanna was on disability, in constant pain, and had to use a walker and wheelchair. Kim could see her pain, she could feel it. Kim has been there, too-devastated and alone.
This is a quote from Kim about their meeting:
“I was so excited when I met Suzanna to know that she lived in Minnesota like me. We had coffee together when we got home and it was amazing. She could have been me. The truth is we need to see each other as if we were looking in the mirror. This is the reality. Why can’t others see each other this way?”
Kim is right on point. Suzanna isn’t just 1 of the 17,000 injured Minnesotans. She isn’t just a number. She is a person. She is real. And, her story deserves to be heard. Just like Kim’s story. We need to share each other’s successes, but also our heartbreaks.
After the panel meeting in November of 2021 Kim shared a very personal, and raw emotional moment on Twitter.
Kim knew how important it was to share her story. In 2004 after her husband’s death she spent countless weeks and weekends in Washington DC sharing her story to anyone who would listen. She didn’t give up. She, “never wanted anyone else to go through what she went through, to have to ask after a pharma-related tragedy, “How come I didn’t know this?!” Kim’s story has been shared in print, on the media and in podcasts 100’s/1000’s of times,
And, here Suzanna was sharing her story and except for a select few no one was listening. Where was the media? Where was Congress? Where was the FDA? Why was Suzanna’s story not coming into the light?
Kim instinctively knew she had to help Suzanna and others like her. Kim had a lot of experience fighting this fight. She successfully sued Pfizer and got black box warnings on antidepressants. Kim still serves on the FDA advisory committee that evaluates new drugs like antidepressants and other psychotropics coming onto the market. She has traveled the world educating people on the “spider web” of Big Pharma.
Kim is not anti-drug. She is pro-information, pro-informed consent, and one of the most compassionate people you will ever meet.
Kim believes, “in the power of telling your story-the more you do the more you heal”.
This is Team Humanity’s mission: to share the stories of the injured. “We want to give a voice to the voiceless; to get weak with the weak; and vulnerable with the vulnerable. We want to fully immerse ourselves in what it is to be human.” (Henri Nouwen)
Kim embodies this mission and spirit.
Kim is a member of Team Humanity. In addition to her website Kim has a substack titled, “(Un)Acceptable Collateral Damage”.
On her first substack article Kim states:
“Today, I continue to speak out for the unsuspecting public at large and represent the voice of those who live every day with the consequences of a failed drug safety system. No family should ever have to learn the hard way, like ours did many years ago.”
Team Humanity feels honored to call Kim a teammate and our friend.

You ladies are an inspiration! Beyond brave! ♥️
Thank you from a MN Health care professional with a vaccine injury that nobody- even in the functional medicine community, can help me with. No blame. I just want to get better. Weird masses in my legs. They keep growing and cause issues. My autoimmune disease came back and I had to beat it back at tremendous personal expense.
